Re: Do you Somalis support the kurds having a homeland?
Yes.
The Kurds are a separate ethnicity and do not share language, tradition or culture with the people they share countries with. Their lands were divided up by colonial powers from thousands of miles away a century ago and thus they shouldn't be obliged to live by their rules.
Anyone who is doesn't recognize the Kurdish plight wouldn't be able to recognize the Somali one in Ethiopia and NFD.

kurds are good people, i support a kurdish independent country, iraqi kurds would be the leaders of other kurds, since iraqi kurds have the most of the wealth plus military power.

Are you saying the Kurds had their own independent country before the colonial times?Kafkaesque wrote:Their lands were divided up by colonial powers from thousands of miles away a century ago and thus they shouldn't be obliged to live by their rules.

No they lived in a province part of the Ottoman Empire. They shouldn't be forced to be part of Turkey because of that, if that was the cause, a whole chunk of the Middle East should be the Republic of Turkey.misterioso wrote:Are you saying the Kurds had their own independent country before the colonial times?Kafkaesque wrote:Their lands were divided up by colonial powers from thousands of miles away a century ago and thus they shouldn't be obliged to live by their rules.

They never had their own independent country, therefore, no, I do not support Kurds having their own homeland. Since they were part of the Empire for several centuries, their only option is to be part of the next Empire that will rule Muslim countries.Kafkaesque wrote:No they lived in a province part of the Ottoman Empire. I support them having country from Iran and Iraq because the kurds there are ahlusunnah.
In Turkey i dont support them, we back 100% the unity of Turkey and will never support terrorists.
Also in Syria they should remain with Post-Assad's Syria.

Ye really annonying people, they are very impulsive & violent as well, they often want to fight you for nothing , trying to provocate you, who ever have dealt with kurds, both "kurdmanji" and "sorani" know how they are.Turbulence wrote:Kurds are an annoying people. In Iraq and Iran, YES. I Turkey and Syria NO. Somalia supports the unity of blessed Turkey just like Turkey supports Somali unity.
