Re: I am tired of the bantu army in Somalia
As long as Somali`s are running around half naked committing genocide against each other, Amisom will be there to provide security.
Re: I am tired of the bantu army in Somalia
two soldiers fighting side by side, one somali and the other AMISOM:
AMISOM soldier:
over $1000 in monthly salary
paid vacation
first aid
full battle gear, including helmet, first aid, food, water, sleeping gear, etc.
very good compensation in case of death or injury
rescue mission including helicopters and commandos in place
Somali Soldier
UNDP $100/per salary which is often paid many months late
No battle gear
no compensation, you will have to send money home to pay for your cousin's medical expenses
no rescue mission in place in case he is captured or surrounded
Amisom soldiers work certain hours and live very comfortably. Somalis have no life and work all hours.
AMISOM soldiers have tanks, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, and so forth. Somali men's largest battle wagon is a commercial pickup truck, not intended for army use.

Warya- this highlights the international community hypocrisy. Why don't they draft Young Somali soldiers and pay them half of what they are paying amisom soldiers? Sad indeed

1/ You cannot make units entirely made of somalis and let the foreigners operate on their own , it will make the whole mission go down the drain
2/ You cannot start paying the somalis the same rate the Uganda or the Sierra Leone guys get . They're on a different payroll . If you give him a 1000 $/month today that will have to be PERMANENT or you're in for troubles ahead , Somalia cannot afford it
3/ The somalis are doing it for themselves , their own people , they have to understand it and I am sure they do .
