Slowly but surely the Igad is getting behind the government

Post by SultanOrder »

According to this interview with Engineer Yariisow, an advisor to the President, the recent Igad conference in Ethiopia was a political success for President Xassan Sheikh. The Prime minister of Ethiopia and the new President of Kenya have both recognized the legitimacy of this government, it's progress, and it's desires to form one state. In their recognition they have agreed that IGAD's role in Somalia will be one of facilitation subordinate to the Governments plans. This is a direct policy change from what their role was during the transitional phase of the Somali government. The next thing that will occur is an Igad delegation headed by the Somali government will be sent to resolve the current Kismaayo/Jubbaland issue.

If this pans out, this will be a political success for the Government.

Murax, things will realign themselves, I'm not worried about the future.
