Culusow is indeed an intelligent man. However, I cannot fathom the lunacy of opposing Jubaland formation. He could have easily overseen the conference and bargained for a temporary administration. It would have been a win-win for all, but instead he has alienated powerful tribes in the south he cannot afford if he wants to defeat alshabaab.

The real question is, what will the folks in Kismaayo decide. Will they go ahead and form a government, or will they be dictated to by IGAD.

The interim administration was good for you because as you never had never installed yourself in any previous kingdom like the juba valley who are familiar with this kinda of tactics. You instead wanted to create some thing bigger than you dominated by others before creating your own thing. I think you still have chance to involve more in the national policy since you played big role in removing al shabaab.

IGAD is going to stop the conference followed by a new official arrangements to make an interim adminstration.

Nothing new from the Igad meeting.
It was always the role of the govt to lead but not dictate.
IGAD said the govt should respect the constitution too.

RK is only one faction in the city in support of this regional development. But it was Mog that ignored, and even attempted to start a war in the city by sending in Hiiraale and other tribal miltias.

Instead of working with the current stakeholders in Kismaayo, Culusow wanted to micromanage everything including naming governors. They told A/madoobe will make you head of J/hoose just agree to our plans, he refused.

Now, again he tried to go to Addis to whisper into the Ethiopian ears "ONLF", but the OG minister within the Ethiopian gov. was the one that received him in Addis.

While the president is trying everything he can to dismantle the current meeting, the folks in Kismaayo are just about done going through a long process.

The plan is to hold the presidential election the day the IGAD committee arrives to "oversee" things and use their presence as the seal of approval.
