Don't worry sahal I reported his disgusting post, hopefully the mods will ban him for inciting clan hatred in the political section. Anyways about the article, it's very interesting and shows us that the Somali understanding of federalism is flawed indeed.

This American{IHS Jane} analyst who equates Puntland {legitimate} and Khatumo {illegitimate} , implying the latter as a force on the ground , giving Khatumo a supposed control of half of Somaliland on the map
is not worthy of respect and can only be seen as having his own agenda .
Magnusomalius cannot verily be fooled

Let's start with what we know, Somaliland has no position on Jubbaland , and how the military in Somalia should better be integrated .
Somaliland is currently in talks with Somalia pursuant to its obligations before the International community

Again let me repeat and be very clear here .
Just because the daarod from Puntland to now the south keep repeating "autonomous" here , "autonomous' there , won't make it work.
We the Isaaq are the ones who started it all 21 yrs ago . We have since formed a multi tribal democratic entity called Somaliland .The ROTATIONAL MOMENTUM is spinning in the opposite direction now , you all are going to become multi tribal and democratic before you ever become autonomous and no amount of EXTERNAL lever is going to change it , as we're eventually going to re -unite with the new federal Somali republic when all that is completed
Otherwise , goodbye !

They made some points like all the politics in this region are economically motivated
"IHS Jane's examines why the central government opposes these plans, despite initially backing the idea.
A centre of trade, commerce, agriculture and rich in marine resources, Kismayo and the surrounding Jubaland area is of great economic importance to Somalia. The region also has the potential to hold the balance of power in the country, meaning all important actors – indigenous or foreign – want to control it. Strategically located at the southern tip of Somalia on the Indian Ocean coast, it has the biggest working sea port in Somalia and two airports.
Kismayo and the surrounding region has been fought over by warlords."
But I dont think they understand well that region demographically that is why this govt wants to set up a loo dhanyahey adminstration, its not one clan-based region.
Culusow is from harford, specialized in the economics and was a governor of the central bank before the first half of the 80s. Regardless of the clans its clear in his article that this system is againist our national interests and somalia will stay fragmented.

Speak for yourself. 21 years of self-rule and "we started it" kulahaa, excuse you, some of us (Puntlanders and family) have a history of self-rule that spans centuries, aka Kingdoms, Sultanates etc.
