Are you guilty?
You know you reach that age where you can no longer get away with being "too young to understand such things". You don't call, you don't visit. Are you one of those horrible people? If so, misery loves company let's bow our heads in shame

Shouldnt qaraabo xirriris be two way street?
What i cant stand if those who point fingers when they never kept in touch.

Laakin you cant be blameworthy if its qaraabo whome you never had proper ties with to begin with. For instance my Abti is very local and i always keep close contact with him wherever he goes because i basically grew up in his presence. Some of my adeers ive seen and spoken to regularly and same with Aunties. Laakin there are a good number i have only seen once or twice in my whole life and they felt like complete strangers to me. Hadaan waco talow maxaan dhihi karaa?

That's the main excuse lakin see la yahay, cafimaadka ka waran is better than nothing. The next excuse - I haven't been round/called in such a long time how will I face them what excuse shall I use. That's why I haven't gone to my aunties for over a month now

Hmm. Unlike others, I don't keep contact usually because I want you out of my life rather than being busy/life commitments
I've cut of an uncle over his betrayal once and this was years ago. When I bump into him (very rarely), he tries to point fingers and say "You've went from babysitting my kids every Friday night to totally denying the existence of my family".
If only you let me practice driving your car for a few hours so I could do my road test... you bitch.

I don't even call my parents when I'm away from them, how I'm I going to call random people? I guess I'm anti social, don't like all that long talk

Wth man...adeerkaa ma saas aa u gashay? Hes like a parent to you man even if he did the worst thing you shouldnt be like that. Wallahi i got an uncle (dads first cousin) whose older by 2 years and he has money problems where hes constantly hustling me for 20 quid here and there and sometimes lies to me about his situation. But for the sake of family i keep good contact with them and always let it slide.

I guess it was a bit overboard. I'll get a hold of him this week.
Speaking about money, I realized I am not too attached to it. I've lent a $1000 a second cousin once and insisted he not pay back. An example that I am not such a bad person after hearing the story of what a horrible nephew I have been

No. It doesn't necessarily have to be two way street. If your qaraabo aren't good at keeping in contact with you, you should. After all, not keeping in touch with your qaraabo is a major sin.
