Somalis Still Bitter Over Black hawk Down.

Post by The-Screw »

For the record, i just want to say that i posted the link to this article around 9 am monday morning... but for reasons unknown, the so called "mod" a.k.a Basra Calooleey deleted it b/c she was trying to get under my skin. little does she know that i am tired of f.ucking around with her fat a.ss and have moved on. so, let me make this clear, BASRA: if it makes you happy deleting what The Screw Posts? then by all means, delete them all.

now, again... this link below is an atricle written and published by correspondent Kevin Sites. make sure you read the user comments at the bottom of the article. i'll cut and paste some of the interesting ones here.

12 years ago the colective world community reached out a hand to help the people of Somalia, and they literally bit the hand that fed them. I can't feel any sympathy. No one will lift a hand to help them for another 20 years, because fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Why didn't they ask the woman if she was mad at her fellow Somalis for shooting down the Blackhawk that killed her little girl? When they shot down the chopper; they were not defending themselves, but attacking. Where did they think the Blackhawk would go when it was hit, up?

Please re-phrase the line where you state the American helicopter fell from the sky. It was shot down by the woman who was interviewed countrymen. It should be pointed out, however, that her repressive Muslim society would not allow her to state that fact.

Somalia deserves whatever it gets and I for one hope it vanishes from the face of the earth... I "Remember" too... Vibj

And let's not forget it didn’t hall from the sky... It was shot down. I don't hope for the worse.. What they did was wrong. Dragging an American street to street was just disturbing. They started something they couldnt finish.. We get the last laugh...

Does anyone remember that it was our wonderfully objective mainstream media that kept shoving images of destitute Somalis in our faces every night of every week until it had guilted the US into sending help? And shame on us for doing so. And if we hadn't, this kind journalist would be lacerating us for our lack of compassion. Now the same MSM excoriates America because it couldn't deliver the goods in such a way that no Somali would be hurt. Screw the Americans that died. We're talking about social justice here!

One of the facts that is always glossed over is that the majority of people in Mogadischu supported what we were doing. I always try to explain this to other Americans. Because of the movie and because of articles like this, they are left with the impressions that all Somalis are a$$holes who were fighting us when we were trying to help them, and that is not true. The ONLY clans that were hostile to us were the Haber Gedir, The Shekal (thanks to Ibrahim Lig Legato) and the Ogadeni (thanks to Aideed lackey Omar Jess). To a lessar degree the Galjel. Otherwise, we pretty much had support across the board. Articles like this don't explain the fractured nature of Somali society and fail to explain why the situation deteriorated the way it did.

i honestly believe somalia would be a lot better today in so many ways if the U.S. soldiers took the men they were after. honest to god i cannot feel sorry for what is happening, the only sympathy i feel is for those 500,000 people who killed in the mix of all this, these warlords are to blame... they should be captured and brought to trial and sentenced for war crimes. i understand why the world feels the they it does about somalia and its people, they cannot stand up and speak out againts these bastards who have destroyed their country to peices, help from the outside is always there for them so why cant they settle their differences and go on from there?

The other thing that bothers me, though, is that the clans who were behind us then are silent now. Look at this board here. A complete reflection of that. Course, given that we stiffed them, I suppose you can't blame them there. But just once I would like to see the members of the clans that supported us stand up and be counted and tell the truth.

Well unlike these mo.ther.fuckers when i see something wrong i stand up and speak out againts it, i don't care who's wrong or not. this is huge problem that needs to be fixed immediately, we need to take action now and get it over with...F.uck Diplomacy. i want to go home, and i want to go home now... these f.ucking warlords are not going to stand in my way. we have to do what we have to do, desperate times call for desperate measures... lets get the UN back on the table... the U.S., anyone who is willing to help us out, the more, the better.

MADMAC Why is it that the impression created by BLAC HAWK DOWN is that the US troops were just wandering around with as innocents and failed to include that they had killed thousands of Somalis prior to Oct. 3rd ?

Abdi
It was a MOVIE - They are made for ENTERTAINMENT. If you want reality, then talk to peope like Biiqaye and myself who were there and can explain it.

Beek:
In Mogadischu, Abgal, Murosade, Hawadle. In the environs, Biimal, Digil, Mirifle, Rahanweyne. Beyond that, all of the Issaq, almost all of the Darood (minus the Ogadeni), and some of the Dir.
