London's Jubaland Conference
This conference shows that JL has become reality. It is accumulating all support it can get. It's clear its people have united, voiced their vision. Security has improved. The only problem is SFG which wants to delay the state building process. But I hope SFG will come to its sense after the AU meeting.
Thanks to Somali elders who founded JL.

Re: London's Jubaland Conference

May have worked for Somaliland{ for historical reasons} ,might work for Somalia today { for a host of reasons better related by the british PM} , but I don't think it is an "ad finitum " solution to every somali political revendication .
Re: London's Jubaland Conference
You have point, and I agree with it. But the goal post of this thread is beyond that.
Many more conferences in support of JL state are there, but this one takes the cup. It was well organized and I see many heavy weights in the video.
Ps. Take your time to watch and reflect to what you see. It's bad habit to just hit the keyboard blindly with out digesting the topic. Talo!

I cannot watch any video from where I am sitting . I am just reading what you wrote and took it from there .
The faster everybody gets behind the current gov in rebuilding the country , the faster we can convince Somaliland { which is my tribal belonging} about the merits of unifying the somalis in a homogeneous political sphere .

Ismail tell us more about it and how was your experience? How do you feel about foundation of JL state after this conference?
Feed us more, awoowe.
Ina Baxar, your point is noted. But I would remind you to take your time, and share with us your opinion about the conference, if you get chance to watch it.
Thank you.

Awoowe
That was my first time going to a conference like that and it opened my eyes to how much nonsense some members feed us on here. It seems like the Mareexaan on snet support Bare Hiiraale, but what I witnessed was totally opposite, some of them even wanted him incarcerated. The Majority of the people at the conference were actually from Beesha Sade and they all supported Axmed Madoobe as the legitimate president of Jubbaland.
As for my views on the formation of JL, I believe Jubbaland is nothing but good, those who oppose, it only oppose it because it is against their best interests (Culusow et al). However I believe if the people of Jubbaland stay united, stick to their cause and show that is an administration that was built on the wishes of the public SFG will be forced to get behind Jubbland. They already have their hands full with the motion against the PM spearheaded by Galaydh & co, the Somaliland talks, D&M complaining and Puntland being a nuisance as usual, SFG could really do with at least one party that works with them and not against them.

Most mx in London are against Govt meddling in J/Land affairs.

Re: London's Jubaland Conference
Conferences in the diaspora are useless. They should show their support by pooling funds and building a school or a hospital. These conferences end up just being venues to voice their qabyalaad and petty politics.

So everyone who doesn`t go along with the Hag agenda is a tribalist?
As we say here in London town....."Do one!"

Re: London's Jubaland Conference
Well, no. But you guys started your opposition to this government the same day the PM took office solely due to his wife's clan (Garowe Online wrote an opinion based article the following day denouncing the government without allowing them to even state what their policies were). Your opposition is nothing more than clan politics. Tell those losers who have all the time in the world to protest in London against the President to get a damn job This is a man who stayed in Somalia at even the height of the civil war trying to better the lives of his fellow compatriots and we have tribalist welfare cases abroad who I can promise haven't done a damn thing for their people on the ground insisting that he is a clan warlord. Your conferences consist of hatred and qabyalaad and nothing to do with making the lives of the people back home better.
Have some political maturity and tell your people to grow up.

Re: London's Jubaland Conference
Thank you, Ismail. That almost sounds like the declaration of independence, doesn't it? There is a reason why people rallied behind Mudane Ahmed Islam, in this state building process. Ahmed has the touch, and clearly, he has managed to win the public.
That said, I agree with you. The primary duty of the people of JL is to stay united. The founding fathers of JL state made it possible for its people to gain the right to be governed by leaders of their own choice. They shall achieve the objective of free and fair election in JL soon when mudane Ahmed's term come to end, after three years.
As for Gedo natives, I'm aware of the difference between those in the real world and those on Snet. Sometimes I doubt if the later are really from Gedo.
Back to the SFG, Mudane Hassan Sheikh is obliged to work with all well-meaning of JL people to bring about the Somali society as promised by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia. There is no going back, and it shall happen in our life time.
Titaum,
This conference has heavy political weights who are shaping up the future investors of JL state. Some of them are well connected to the land. Others contributed to liberation process. Abwans, ambassadors, member of parliaments, generals, respected elders ( Men and women), and business men and future leaders( students) are all sitting there.
Elected JL state leaders will pay visit to London to integrate with the diaspora and vice versa. This will create strong bond among the society regardless of where they live. It is great thing and least you can say is God bless people of JL, and wish them to achieve their vision which is opting for order and governance.
Show respect and admiration, so that in return you get respect.
