Wouldn't trust it, I rather pray safe. It's already not known for certain if Allah will accept our prayer in general, so why risk it even further? Plus how do I know for certain this is indeed a 'halal' nail polish?

"Some imam" in the states would approve almost anything. A high percentage of these American based "ulema" approve or condemn based upon the socio-political sensibilities of contemporary, cosmopolitan Western society, not on Islam. Ijtihad run amok... Probably best to stick with mehndi, it isn't as glamorous and visually desirable as this new product but it is safe.

Nailpolish isn't haram in the first place it's just that weysadu kuma baxdo because biyuhu ma gadeyso ciddida. but since the nailpolish is water permeable, there's no issue. be easy
