One Question for Mad Mac and One For Dhuuso Dheer

Post by kambuli »

This are two questions that I asked you both, but you guys evaded them.
That is why I want to ask again.

Mad Mac.

If you support the freedom of dressing for women in the west in which they can wear anything they want even in some places they just chose to walk naked. Why can't you be ok if another women chooses to cover herself(Hijab)? Why not freedom for all???? Shocked

Dhhuso Dheer,

Would you honestly be ok with if your mom, wife, daughter or sister decides to walk around naked (topless) like the picture you posted. Honestly, would you like it? Even if that was their choice would you be happy at heart?

Because Mad Bittch thinks that when cover up because they have to or they're forced to. He can't understand the fact that women can choose to do as they wish. I don't blame Earl here tho, he is a product of his environment.....his trailor home's walls weren't thick enough to drown out his old drunk man pounding his whhore of a mother's face in.

No, I wouldn't be happy about my female blood relatives half naked. But I didn't say they should, was only pointing out our history in the face of wahabi revisionism.

Women should have the right to dress as they choose, it's not upto me or you to decide what they should and shouldn't do.

Thanks DD up

I knew you would have some morals left in you. up

Then please do not promote. We agree that prostitution is bad and evil. We should not say "If the women chooses let her do it". If there is a way we can intervene we should not hesitate. like educating, providing alternative professions etc.

The same token way modesty dressing is good and I know every man or parent wants to see his blood related girl to be dressed so. There are wild people in this earth so we should not take their path.

Thanks again.

That's exactly my point. People (women and men) should have the freedom to choose how they want to dress. If a woman wants to wear hijab, fine. Her choice. In a free country (the only kind I want to live in) people can say what they want (including offensive things about other religions) and can wear what they want and pretty much do what they want, free of government interference. If a woman wants to wear hijab, she should be able to. What I reject is when someone is compelled, through law of threats of violents, to wear anything - hijab or otherwise.

MM,

Do people have the right to do whatever they want to do with their body? In the west civilized countries?

In the ideal. Not all western countries live up to their values. For that matter, not all countries live up to their values. In some states in the US they have what they call blue laws where you can only buy alcohol during certain times or certain days. Topless sunbathing is illegal in most places. Etc. etc. But in the ideal, peope would have the right to CHOOSE for themselves what they want to do, how they want to attire themselves, free from state interference.

This is a free world.. any one could have the right to do what he or she pleases but the real question is.... Is what he or she does right ? would he or she be rewarded or punished for what they do? Islam is not somin by force Islam is do what's right to please ALLAH and his massenger (saw) and hopely get something and everything in return...

Jakeem,

I agree that everyone should respect and conform as much as possible to local customs...but what is and is not 'approperiate' should be decided by society and not by a book 1500 years old.

That is not the real question. That is a seperate question. Right now we are discussing what should be legal compulsion concerning dress. Not what Islam says is appropriate attire.

Mad Mac,

When you say "Ideal" what standard? Whose principals?

My point is even in the western world people do not have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies. The government intervenes for the sake of the society. Example; Prostitution is Illegal in so many places. One can argue and say "It is my body" But still there are laws.
Drug users are intervened by the governments still one can argue and say "It is my health it is my body". Even there are dress codes in so many places, where modesty dressing is required.

The same way, if a Islamic government or a ruler see someone who is dressed in a way that attracts sin and evil, then they have the right to intervene.

Why can't the muslim authroities have the same rights that the non-muslim authorities have over their society? Shocked
