my cousin is married to a complete A-hole who at one point threaten to cause her harm if she ever left him cuz he loves her too much to see her with another man. to her this is deep love that compensates for all his other shortcomings.

love between man and a woman seems abstract in the eyes of women..but somehow before a woman enters into a relationship with a man, she's sold(to self,most of the time) a universal idea of a man's love. its a different ballgame when she's living with a man... love is redefined.

Everyone has a way that they like to give and receive love but above all else I would judge it from the person's actions. The way I see it, love is about having the other person's best interest at heart, even if they conflict with your own. You don't have to put their needs ahead of yours all the time but you never push them behind yours either. If you say you love me but are selfish then you can keep your love to yourself.

Oh kaas maa ka hadloosa? I thought it was a separate point, that guy does not love his wife, he's calling it love but it's about his own neediness and pride and not to mention jealousy. He sounds like a possessive prick with low self esteem.
