Angolan vice president meets with Somali president


Addis Ababa – The Angolan vice president, Manuel Vicente, met Sunday in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) with the president of Somalia, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, on the fringes of the 21st ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union whose works started Sunday and closed Monday.


The two are in Addis Ababa to witness the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) currently the African Union (AU).


Somalia is situated in the Horn of Africa, bordering with Djibuti (norwest), Kenya (southwest), Gulf of Aden and Iemen (north), Indian Ocean (east) and Ethiopia (west).


It is currently faced with political and military instability caused by rebel groups and pirates.
