Professor Samatar is over-rated

Post by Waqooyism »

Lately I have been watching how Landers are all excited about Samatar's recent annoucements. Some already claim he has changed but what they don't understand is that first of all Samatar is a small fish. Furthermore, he is a cunning opportunistic individual who ran to Mogadishu for one mission. He did not believe in Somalia for what it is but thought he could use his position as a "professor" to quickly climb the political ladder in Mogadishu. He forgot in Mogadishu everyone is "Doctor Calasoow, Professor Yalaxow and Dean Jimcaale".

The Darods, Isaaqis and the Dir cheered after him as if he was the only professor in the universe and his head got bigger and bigger. He ran to Xamar thinking Hawiye will entertain his professorship card only to ask him "Maandhow adi ya la socota nooh, ciidaa awaay hee? Igaar ma qabtid miya maandhow?" The so called professor was shocked and thought to himself "aadeero what language are they speaking? Somalia sidaan maan moodeene...definitely I am from Somaliland planet huuno somaha..."

You just don't show up in Xamar without ciyaalka xaafada. He should know the 101 facts about Xamar before naively running to Mogadishu with an empty suitcase. In Culusow-land, you either bring dollar or ciyaalka xafada and if you have neither---maandhoo make a U-turn is the first sign that you will see.

Now Hargeisa is going wild and there are talks of alabaari that could rival Sheikh Isaxaaq Bin Ahmed el Hashimi's alaabaris and that of Sheikh Aw Baarkhaadle combined

All of sudden they telling me Samatar's change of "heart" is a game changer. Those who think that are very naive. Ina Samatar is just a university professor, a book person and Somaliland needs a field ni-gga to take it forward.

Waa ina Xamar xoog lagu gala ama xoog lagu keena on its knees and while held at gunpoint forced to accept Somaliland's sovereignty like the people of Eritrea did to Addis Ababa (TPLF + Eritrean People’s Liberation Front).

Ina Samatar is no more worthy of a politician than Dr Omar (current SL Foreign Minister) in my book. Somalilanders need to recognize the difference between a real politician, university book worm and an opportunistic individual.

Baal hoos ka akhriiya islaamo doing buranbuur for inaa Samataar and his hidden agenda. Hawiye gacan baan uu tagay for spotting Samatar's spots

Professor samatar is a respected professor and he is respected by his clan members, so him officially abandoning walaweynism and joining Somaliland, is a win for Somaliland not a major win but its a plus. Professor samatar has no value in Xamar the hawiyes are not interested in his people clan or Somaliland in that particular way. They want a union but they sure will not want to give samatar more seats than he deserve as a sub sub clan. And he cant assist them in their tribal objectives reason why a Merehaan is the Prime Minister and not Samatar. So him coming to Somaliland , is good for Somaliland , Samatar changed his tone his way of thinking and they way he viewed Somaliland is different now.

Khalid Ali,

Reer Awdal have around 10 MP seats if I am not mistaken. And Djibouti has around the same number as well. They have been pampered. Mogadishu has given them lots of interest.

However, this man is a shameless opportunist. I naively thought he wanted to change things down south but he just wanted people to see him as some sort of savior. He left the city shortly after the elections. The man is an academic. Why didn't he help the educational institutions? He lived in Minneapolis and Toronto for 30 years and thinks the locals and the political circles in Xamar will accept him. He's out of his mind. This man won't even be accepted in the politics in Borama. You have to be familiar with the locals and the way things are done. He should have used his skills to help the locals first. But he is not interested in that.

No President in Somalia can be from the diaspora. All of them were from the country. A diaspora man can never become President.

Titanium,

Saax. If he truly cared about Mogadishu or Somalia, he would offer some of his time to education institutions just to promote and bring attention to it. He should have also helped Amoud and other institutions to forge ties with American universities but no he is busy crying and lying to himself.

Mogadishu is no fool and saw that besides Somalia is all about clan numbers and alliance, Gadabursi is small, they cant hold the Prime Minister or President post at the moment while Somalia is in the state it is.

He should know that.

There are some book educated so called politicians that are clueless such as Ina Warabe who is at least funny (Nin wadanka ka baxay wa nin diinta ka baxay hahahaha), Jamal Ali Hussein and this professor.

He is now running to Hargeisa for a hug (Alla huuno wa lay xuumeeye haab ii siiya). Poor nigga. He can't even win a municipal seat in Dilla forget Borama.

Samatar and Yusuf Garaad and the others are all clowns. They shouldn't have even been given MP positions.
