Professor Samatar: Mogadishu vs Hargeisa/Berbera

We all witnessed the professor make his two recent trips back to Africa after decades in the West. We saw him visit Mogadishu under the pan-Somalist Hiil Qaran banner and today we all saw the historical visit to Hargeisa.

Of course there is great differences between the two. One was like visiting the place you often heard is your native country but you did not really know. You did not know how to react, act or respond. Then there was going back to your hooyo, your real home and here you don't question how you act, react or respond---all comes natural. It hits you once you touch the floor.

Here is Samatar in Mogadishu, doing more baby sitting and trophy handing than feeling at home. Feels lonely, boring and cold...arms folded behind, standing alone.

Here is Berbera. Real home coming.

Waxad garaatan from Samatar's experience regardless of your political views or whatever at the end of the day there is no place like home, the real home.

Which brings me to this song that became the anthem of Daryeel Construction company.

That picture uu dabada cirka u taagaayo  Reer waqooyi made sure there is no chance for this guy to ever be against Somaliland., they just going to waive that pic in front of him.

He is nothing more than a warlord, he came to xamar for his personal interest/ambition. when that didn't materialize he started crying like a baby  Switching sides like the warlords that came before him won't get him anywhere, little desperate and a decade too late. It would have been better for him if he swallowed his pride and stayed out of Somali politics.

Daf,

Dabadu is for Xamar dee sxb. He is simply asking: what rhymes with Xamar that begins with X and ends with R?

That's what he thinks of you lot and tomorrow Bubba will be showing his. Ninyahow anba wan ka so hoor jeeday Somaliland lakin whether its federal, autonomous, country, in-limbo or whatever it is always home and thats what Waqooyis in Konfur need to understand. We can call Konfur Somalia and our home but it will never be home like home in Waqooyi.

Even if Heaven was moved to one of the many Konfur regions, it will never be comfortable for us. Home is where the heart belongs not what it considers strength or power.

That's why my title is Waqooyism.

More power to reer waqooyi, btw him and tomorrow Buubaa you said, this is turning into a booty-shaking contest

Don't you think it is kind awkward, he had this anti SL stance for so long, and when Somalia shut the door on his face, he comes calling  desperate move. Good luck to him.

i don't get this Somalis will exaggerate any thing just for the fuss of it, but here is my query on this Samatar Dilema, there is a difference between paying your home land a visit and taking 180 degree turn by denouncing what you have preached for more than 20 years and all just for a mere lose in presidential race so which one is the case for samatar ?.
i don't think the prof got out of his way, i still believe he is a unionist always was always will be because unlike most of us he knows what a united Somalia once looked like and
a man of his caliber and intellectual experience would then realize that no matter how affairs went down hill our precious country can and will if god wills stand on its feet again.

Grandpakhalif yarta ii dhaaf nooh, yarta wasaarad waaye inta kale wakaalad waaye nooh. :D :som:
