Can we have cooperation relationship with egypt while its at war with ethiopia? I took the title from one comment in the link.

I doubt about the intention of the egyptian generals as war of words is heating up between them and ethiopia, atleast its not a good time for somalia.

Its not just about building our army so we can stop them and give the job to another country, its part of the relationship with qatar who funds the damjadeed govt, its about somalia, qatar and egypt and the contract was done in doha.

Ethiopia believes that egypt is using the somali army and may even set up a military base in somalia thus, they are planning to dismantle the govt through the regional states.

The best thing for the Somali government is to accept Egyptian training support diplomatic support even. But Somalia is just recovering from a war it should stay away from all sort of wars with its neighbors and it should stay away from geopolitical quarrels. So siding with he Egyptians on this is not smart. Although Ethiopia cant harm Somalia in any way or form nor will Somalia be a threat to Ethiopia for the next few years. But its better for Somalia to stay neutral. The Nile business is not a Somali business even though we wouldn't mind if Ethiopia gets destroyed along the way For a country like Somalia its better if it stays neutral , be friends with both. But normal diplomatic ties. Somalia should not be hostile towards Ethiopia. Somalis should not fight for Arab causes. Where were the Arabs the past 22 years especially the Egyptians , Kuwait and UAE were good friends of Somalis. But Egypt was no where to be seen. So Somalia should be very careful not to fall for the tricks of the Egyptians. Somalia does not have the resources not now atleast to fight such wars may they be geopolitical or actually on the ground.

egypt would be good ally, maybe somaliland the jew lovers will ally with israeli ethiopian, judio-christian evil axis, egyptian will always be our friends they support somalia unity, they are the ones who pushed for somali to join arab league, somalia always had cozy relationship with our brothers in masar. we should help them, and they should help us, maybe through somalia they can fund the ONLF through proxy arms dealers its a good idea, lets destroy the habeshi and amxaar, they are enemy of somalia.

That is what the govt is trying to tell them but ethiopia doesn't trust anyone so they are going to contact the regional states and give them weapons. What do you think then?
