It is not about hating Hawiye or Abgaal for that matter. Hawiye are Somalis and have the same right as any other Somali clan to lead. The problem I have wit this man is that who he surrounds himself. Unlike Cali Mahdi, Ceydiid, CabdiQaasim, Abdullahi Yusuf, and Sharif, Xasan Sheekh had the best opportunity to unite Somali people and end this suffering. He received a liberated city, over 20,000 well-funded and well-equipped AMISOM forces, and an uncharacteristically a very decent legislative body to work with. Remember that while most HAG MPs wanted to have Shariif in the seat, almost all Daarood MPs voted for Xasan. HAG mps are only 61 like that Daaroods, so this man wasn't elected by HAG but all Somalis. What has he accomplished so far almost a year into his leadership? Instead of focusing the pressing issues facing the nation, he turned into a clan president.

I can only think about one valid reason why Xasan is acting this way; he has given up hope due to his incapability, and he just wants to make sure that he doesn't lose his Abgaal base. Nothing else; No Jubbaland, no Hiiraan, no Puntland, no Khaatumo, and as for Somaliland, their recognition dream could have never been closer as the Ethiopian prime minister publicly said that they would stand and defend Somaliland from Somalia.
