What kind of savings schemes do you people use? I have tried combined portfolios (shares/stocks+ mutual funds) , hedge funds but my equity has depreciated in the last 4 years due to market volatility.
I am thinking of investing in real estate but, I don't know where.
Bird and Fortune's credit crunch piece is a master piece; good old British comedy.

Re: Equity schemes
This was loaded in feb of 08, and the serious crisis didn't even happen till summer and early fall of 08. Hilarious video. Didn't really like the analogy of the black man tho, it had a hint of racism.

Re: Equity schemes
PO, I like this sketch. The two guys look like upper-class people.
I think the reference to the black guy was to give the sketch an element of authencity.

Re: Equity schemes
Lamagoodle, a sketch of an ignorant black man in some destitute small town in Alabama sitting in his porch is a racist caricature that use to be quite common here in America. The black man is sitting on his porch in the middle of the day because he has no job, his unemployed, this is also strengthened by the fact that his house is run down and falling apart because he has no money to repair it. He is also ignorant because he gets conned into signing up for a mortgage for this house, though it is falling apart. Do you want me to keep going or have I made my point about how racist it is?
An authentic sketch of the subprime mortgage crisis would have been one about a lower middle class white family with 50k combined salary buying houses worth 200-350k, thinking the value will go up endlessly.
