Post by sahal80 »

The first time I heard about the buckingham palace was not through politics it was through nizar qabbani poems when I was 14 years old. Just shows how important is this president.

(London, 15 June 2013) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sh. Mohamud, accompanied by Minister of Finance H.E. Mohamud Hassan Suleyman, is in London today where he will meet with several G8 leaders and attend the G8 OPEN FOR GROWTH: TAX, TRADE AND TRANSPARENCY event. The 3T’s are the theme of this year’s G8 Conference.

On this trip, President Hassan’s main aim is to engage the G8 leaders and encourage them to trade with and invest in Somalia. Since investment and trade will play significant roles in restoring peace, President Hassan is making sure that these leaders know that Somalia is increasingly open for business.
President Hassan will meet with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The UK Prime Minister and his administration continue to show unwavering support to the Federal Government of Somalia. The UK officially re-opened its embassy in Mogadishu after twenty years.
“Somalia is located in a very strategic area geographically. It has every possible potential in terms of location and natural resources for trade and investment. Today the world is ready to engage with Somalia more than ever before. We need to capitalize on this golden opportunity”, said President Hassan.
The President concluded his remarks by saying that job creation for the youth is one way of tackling the root causes of piracy and extremism and that youth employment is certainly key for Somalia’s development and stability.

Hassan Sheekhs biggest challenge is in Somalia.Even with the threat of Al-shabab still lingering there seems to be simmering discontent with his regime from various clans and local administrations from Bosaso to Hiiraan to Lower Jubba. He needs to cool off this brewing opposition and settle these crucial disagreements and regain the confidence of the people. The president doesn't have the authority to enforce his vision in many places so its important he cooperates with local actors to find common ground, now is not the time for an over-zealous ideologue. What the country needs is a unifier who can settle with local and regional actors to move the country forward and focus on bigger priorities, now the world has realized the strategic importance of Somalia we shouldn't waste time on this petty internal politicking.

He is two months away from 10 september, first two months was only thinking to pick a good pm, he wasn't going out now he can as every institution is doing its own work.
Let us say this was the year of diplomacy and looking for funding. within the next few months he will puy weapons.

The problem is the people, as coming from a lawless background, they know nothing about the the state affairs.

This govt is an internationally recognized govt, farah cabdul qadir is in a secret visit to ethiopia and he said to them directly don't be silly, our friendship with egypt is not your business.

Anyways I think kismayo problem is over and you will have an admin soon.
Arab iise head of the defence commitee in the parliament was saying they are making gun laws and will integrate raas kambooni within the govts command.

Nicholas kay is in a visit to the amisom and igad countries and he said in djbouti all must align with the govts policy and that he supports its reconciliation conference.

somalia: the next stage
by sahal80 » Thu May 09, 2013 8:22 am
The UNPOS has been totally dissolved also no more NG0s. Nicholas job is different, he is there for unisom also will work with the govt for example the international money for somalia is not any more arriving through the NG0s but rather him and the govt will set up together a joint committee that will manage the money for two years and the somali govt must establish before that its bank institution and taxation mostly the tax collectors as no one knows the real national revenue.
The govt has lately appointed two officers for this field ( hanti dhoorka good ee qaranka iyo xisaabiyaha good ee qaranka).

He was sitting at the front row next to David Cameron and his wife during the parade. Somalia really has taken centre stage.

being invited to buckingham palace - where you yourself can go to as a tourist - by the deputy pm from the minor party in the coalition is far from showing "how important is this president".
