US started Dialogue with Taliban and they want us to continue to fight alshabaab? that is double standard. They know their blood is not being spilt in Somalia. How can you defeat who Love death more than life. In Other words, Saying you are going to kill all of them upto the last man is dillusional. Sxb I am sure there can be some compromise on the Shariica democracy thing if there is a genuine motive. This Youths are high on Jihaad. Did anyone ask them what they are fighting for rather than calling them names? Maybe they want some little modification on the constitution and Ugandaans gone. Then we live happily ever after. They have money, women, power, and hopes of going to Jannah here after. They won't give up by just fighting them. They call whoever isn't dead on the line that day as having bad luck.

Sxb your making it seem these two groups, shabab and TFG don't know one another.. They have been fighting each other for a long time now and each one knows what the other one wants.

Shabab want every foreign army to leave and full sharia not a mix of democracy and sharia. The west and those who work for them will never accept this so the struggle will continue for now. These two groups disagree on principle so I don't see them ever working together. The only way peace will be achieved is when one group totally defeats the other.

The dialogue isn't going anywhere. The Taliban are playing diplomacy, not committed to peace with the US. Hamid Karzai also isn't committed to peace:
