Re: Saacid Shirdoon needs to go.
I juwt feel like he isn't pulling his weight. I don't think he is "weak" but he is a total appeaser and I have heard this from people who came back from Somalia who were supporters of him.
He is the kind of guy that loves to save face and chooses an understanding of "maslaxad" that is akin to appeasement. He doesn't believe in argument or pushing your views and will choose the high way out. A great personality trait but when you are a leader you take softly and carry a big stick.
The PM wants to appease the President, appease the parliament, appease the society, appease. You can't do that when you are the executive head of the country with clearly defined constitutional powers.
He needs to go man. There is a stalemate in everything because the PM's role is totally missing.

Granps, Sacid would be great foreign minister wallahi from what I observed of him. Very dignfied, well spoken in English and Somali in the diplomatic way but I would be down with just as educated rer Dalal waal oo indha adag.

Rer Dalal has exhausted their PMs, lets give it to another well educated, politically acumen Darod. The`Republic wrote:Granps, Sacid would be great foreign minister wallahi from what I observed of him. Saacid in my opinion is doing his job well, of course there is always room for improvement but he is only 9 months into his term, I rather wait and see what happens before passing judgement.

Who were these people bro? Were they tolka? Dadkeeni darood interests baa laga dhaadhi'yay ninyahoow and there is no such thing. Daroods are the biggest enemies amongst themselves and the only goal for those pushing to have the prime minister removed is to have one of their own installed there.I have heard this from people who came back from Somalia who were supporters of him.

Re: Saacid Shirdoon needs to go.
^ so true. Darood is not united like the Isaaq or HAG and it has been like that since forever. When Cali Khaliif was running for speaker, everyone was screaming Darood deserves a higher position. Well you got what you wanted and you are still not happy. Today Prof. Jawaari is more powerful and more influential than Saacid.

Re: Saacid Shirdoon needs to go.
Turb and PO, as both of you know I tend to lean towards the government position on Kismaayo and I am not calling for conflict between the PM and Pees or the PM and Parliament and neither the PM and any part of society. I am not taking a delusional character like Original Dervish or these delusional Kamboni/Puntland partisans. I have kind of felt this for a while but yeah tolka who are very pro government are the ones who told me Saacid doesn't function like a guy with clear constitutional powers. The guy is old school diplomatic type. Those guys are good ministers and advisors but not great executive leaders. He is sometimes even hesitant about taking charge they said because he doesn't want to "offend."

Saaciid can't even get his close cousin like Raadeer on board. I would rather he stepped up and took charge than move out the way. He can save the presidency, the newly forming state, and even support Jubbaland by outlining a clear agenda of bring together all sides and putting the power of the authority of his office to use. He is hurting everyone and himself with the too much hands off approach.

Saacid needs to learn to strike a balance between being assertive and co-operative, he's much too co-operative and simply goes with the flow.
Re: Saacid Shirdoon needs to go.
I think his doing a good job, could he do better? yes but Ill give him some time to mature as a political leader however I will not call for his resignation because of hearsay.
