Somaliland and 26 June 1960

Don't you find it weird when southerners who don't even belong to Somaliland get excited and throw niiko about the day Somaliland got
independence from Britain as if it was them that got independence in that day? They need to stick to July 1 and stop trying to hijack the
history of others. 26 June 1960 is the day the people living in ex British Somaliland got independence and southerners have no right to
stain that day with their cambuulo stained hands. Who is with me on this?

It becomes problematic when they try to mix the two dates and hijack history. Somalililanders don't celebrate July 1 that is a southern day, so why are they
obsessed with 26 June as if it's the day they got independence?

It doesn't matter what they believe, they are under the mercy of Ugandans.History tells us 26 June is the day Somaliland got independence not Somalia.
its good that there is another important day for Somaliland May 18 along with 26 June that forms a distinct history and identity separate from Somalia.
So you see the importance of telling the southerners to keep their cambuulo stained hands to themselves. Your history is yours.

Ducaysane209,

When the idoor have erased the date from its calendar and we see Hutu doing niiko it is odd to me. They are under Ugandan occupation and they are celebrating other peoples' business. Wa dad talaadi ka xuun tahay oo marmarsiiyo doon ah.

1st July is equally irrelevant because the unity no longer exists. June 26 got the financial cut from Somaliland Central Bank and all we see is crazy Doros and hutu wasting their time with meaningless dates.

It would have been better if they came together, liberated themselves from the 18,000 strong Bantu occupation force and celebrated a new day and a new beginning.

Some people don't know how to let the past go and move on. Those dates no longer exist in our calendars because we able to reinvent ourselves and give ourselves a new goal and a new beginning. This is what makes us different from Dooros and Hutu.

Ducaysane209 wa rageedi. He is another Faisal Ali Warabe but his sentiment is not an isolated one. Southerners should first feed their kids instead of leaving it to Turks. Southerners should provide security for their women instead of leaving it to retired Bantus from Uganda and beyond.

Then they can celebrate whatever they want. Right now they have no right to celebrate June 26th.

Hargeisa will not mark the day. Its being exported to Konfur---to give them more reasons to do niiko (Bantu dance).

Waqooyism That is what I meant by misplaced priorities of the southern people. They are throwing niiko and cambuulo on a day that is not even their's to celebrate
while Ugandans and Burundians control their city. It is so wrong on many levels.

That's when we introduced Somalinimo to the Koonfurians. A great day, 1st of July on the other hand was tragic.

However, those dates have been replaced by better occasions. The 26th of June will forever be remembered by Somalilanders as the day we went to elections. The 1st of July the day the nation chose Habar Jeclo to lead them. :sland:

Faaraxos Parasites that live off other people's houses, farms, piracy money. They are too filthy and should be left alone only in a container away from the
productive Somali people. You see Somaliland has done well without the parasites for over two decades and will continue to do so, your people are a virus
to the Somali race, It is nothing personal, I am pro progressive anti baboon mentality. Keep your cambuulo stained hands to yourselves.
