An old timer who is a friend of a relative of mine was telling a story about his youth and how things were back in the days.
He told us (me plus relative of mine) about an encouter he had with an elephant as he was traveling in no mans land by himself.
If i do remember correctly, i think he said that the only thing he had with him was a loaded gun and the clothes on his back.
Mid way his journey, he came accross an elephant (s) grazing on plants.
He remembers how beautyful and elegant this creature was.
Anyhow, he got within range and shot that elegant and beautiful creature.
Upon shooting it, he quickly stood over it and drank its milk.
HE DIDN'T GET INTO DETAIL AS TO HOW HE DRANK THE MILK.
Whether he suckled the milk glands via mouth or milked it by hand then drank them.
IS ELEPHANT MEAT AND MILK EVEN ALLOWED?

I think the elephant had it coming since the guy was hungry and thursty enough to kill it.
Propably his survivor's instict kicked in that had him do a number on that creature.

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
One of the principles in the Hanafi School concerning animal consumption is that all terrestrial predatory fanged animals are considered haram, such as a lion, cheetah, tiger, leopard, wolf, fox, dog, cat, etc.
The definition given by the author of the renowned Hanafi Fiqh masterpiece, al-Hidaya, for a predatory animal is as follows:
“A predator is every animal that would normally prey, quarry, wound, kill and transgress on other animals (or humans).” (al-Hidaya, 2/440)
Based on this, the author of al-Hidaya then goes on to say:
“An elephant is a fanged animal; hence, it will be prohibitively disliked (makruh) to consume its meat.” (ibid)
Imam al-Haskafi (Allah have mercy on him), whilst mentioning the list of haram animals, states that it is haram to eat the meat of an elephant. (See: Radd al-Muhtar ala-al-Durr al-Mukhtar, 6/306)
Thus, in conclusion, indeed an elephant is different from other predatory animals in that it does not prey and live on other animals like a lion and other similar animals do. However, due to the fact that an elephant can harm, kill and attack other animals, the Hanafi fuqaha considered it to be from amongst the predatory animals; hence, its meat being unlawful for consumption.

Roosters can harm, kill and attack by engaging in cock fights yet Muslims still eat them.

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Quran, 2:173
I guess everything else is fine
