Wll this fiefdom aka Somali+land ever get a DEAD LAND
It suprised me when this emotionally challenged tribe screams for a fiefdom that exists in their own eyes.
To qualify for the necessary conditons of a state recognition, It is imperative that a state applicant furnish legitimate claims or a mission statement for its great mission.
Do Isaaqs occupy enough land? Currently, we have five regions that correspond to this former protectorate.
1-Sanaag, predominantly settled by Warsangeli, a majority with no separatist motive.
2-Awdal, predominantly settled by Gudabirsi and Issa. Their people have split into two main groups, one for pro-secessionist or pro-separatist and the other group for anti-seperatist.
3-Sool--100% anti-secessionist.
4-Togdheer---25% of its populace from Dhulbahante are anti-seperatist, 20% of Isaaq are also anti-separatist, the remaning 50% is still uncertain if they entirely support this seemingly dead dream.
Waqooyi Galbeed--100% secessionist.
Suppose that the United Nation send a fact finding commission to this part. Wouldn't their findings concur with my state beliefs? For Example, UNISOM , in 1994, responded to a number of resolutions which were the outcome of various meetings. They concluded, ""The request, which was ignored by UNOSOM, was clearly aimed at the United Somali Party (USP) that UNOSOM has appointed to be the legitimate representative of the people of the Sool and Sanag regions." (SOMALILAND: INTERPRETING DOCUMENTS FROM CONFERENCES )
Above all, Something very important fails to define what is there?

1-Sanaag, predominantly settled by Warsangeli, a majority with no separatist motive
Wrong, Sanaag is predominantly Habar Yonis and majority of the people with maybe the exception of Dhulbahant support the separate and independent Somaliland. The Warsengali overwhelmingly support Somaliland intention to become independent.

Ceelgabo, how old are you?
This is what a European man who visited Sanaag (Makhir) said about 150 years ago.
"The Habr Gerhajis, here scattered and cut up, have little power. Their royal family resides near Berberah, but no one as yet wears the turban; and even when investiture takes place, a ruler’s authority will not extend to Makhar. "
None of you has answered my questions. I am being very honest and interest constructive responses.

Why do you need to ask me my age when your master, the European who quated could tell you everything you need including my age and the history of Somaliland...

I don't get it, why is the issue of somaliland so important? There are more pressing issues to deal with like all those poor orphaned somali children! Please don't give me that "I'm a somali nationalist" bull, being a nationalist means wanting the best for your people and if that means supporting somaliland THEN THATS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO. Being a nationalist doesn't meaning waiting around for some fairytale union regardless of the consequences. Being a nationalist doesn't mean waiting around and watching as our country and people decay..We are adults here and as an adult you should know that everything isn't pink and rosey, there isn't a happy ending to every story. If somaliland is building hospitals, taking care of the widowed+orphaned, and educating the young minds of tomorrow..I don't see why you won't support them, atleast in concept. I am afraid that qabiil is clouding your judgment, I could careless if somaliland was made for and by isaaqs, they are lightyears ahead of most somalis. If it were up to me I would divide somalia into as many states as possible if it meant that it would end the wars and poverty back in the motherland.

This post is a mere picture of the reality like the importance of exposing the evils of countless fiefdoms in Mogadisho and their respective runners. But in the North West, the picture of how this ongoing election appears as though it is intended to suffocate the political position of the majority of people and their decisional roles in expressing their views. Several press media, mainly from SA and an associated press have given an interest in covering what is going up there from the comforts of their media center.
