Have you noticed that all the govt policies are unsuccessful? This is because of the cunning politicians of kenya, the same goes fore ethiopia though its more diplomatic.
Unlike of the somali ones, the kenyan officials are remarkably clever as a westren educated guys...thus, they would create alot of delayments in order to reach a hard actuality that needs a recognition as long as no progress is coming from the govts side.
I have heard this mombasa conference in its first hours but I ignored it because I thought it was only about "sharing security informations" and the challenges that face amisom and the contributing countries besides the somali intelligence and security agencies......I'm hearing now its a kenyan proposal in order to derail the govts multi-national initiative or to alter it with these subjects of the conference; to enhance the capacity of SNA, strenghthening the security forces(....until they are liable to take the responsibility!)
In another words, until such a strong somali forces are ready they are the ones who are responsible!
seen their pics with uhuru including ambassador anaddif
Later! Later! Later!
Other news
The nairobi based ex somali failed politicians have created a petition aganist the govt of hassan sheekh that is filled with their recommendations.
The petition calls the president to change the course and suggests some policy towards kismayo, appointing a new negotiating team with somaliland and has to get approved by the parliament.
Besides these ex pms who support their communites this group includes the mercenary mohamed geedi and the al islahs bitter loser badiyoow who are related to hassan sheekh.

Sahal......Hassan Sheikhs Govt is failing, not because of Kenya/Ethiopia, because of his confrontational "1991" style of politics.
Moves are already underway to unseat him and replace him with a more conciliatory candidate.
All of your analysis have been proved incorrect.
Hassan Sheikh, far from being the master politician you suggested, has been exposed as a totally corrupt, inept and ineffective president, no better than his mentor Abdulqasim.
The IC know his regime is riddled with Al Shabaab and tribalism.
I expect all non emergency aid to be suspended.
Moves are already underway to unseat him and replace him with a more conciliatory candidate.

I think he is relatively good politician who arrived at a transitional conjunction, in his era somalia has reached the statehood and the somali problem is a conflict between the clan and the nationhood state.original dervish wrote:Sahal......Hassan Sheikhs Govt is failing, not because of Kenya/Ethiopia, because of his confrontational "1991" style of politics.

Westren journalistHassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is commonly held to be honest and competent and has an extensive network of support amongst Somali civil society. The problems Somalia faces today are born of progress.
However, having said that, I'm not with him fully, I have been criticising him in the last two months and I asked abdiwahab why he is not doing this and that...
His problem is that he has no great advisors or his team lacking the competence...
Despite being opportunist, the professor samatar was the man for somalia, he could have been our mahaatir mohamed with his formula 3+1... Firstly, healing the somaliweyn wounds, secondly, new leadership(with a vision, competence, justice) third has the ethics and is anti-corruption... Plus one is the foreing policy( financial gathering for infrastructure services and economic recovery wich needs $1.5 billion and only the capital $500 million a year)
I don't think hassan sheekh is the new leadership that we need but he will eliminate the minor clan states, involving countries... in other words he is building the state with a wrong method but we won't give him a second chance in 2016.
I know some guys with a new leadership program who didn't appear in the last election because of that dangerous conjunction wich leads too much clashes with ONGS, clans, countries(kenyaðiopia) and are waiting the clean situation, one of them is the professor afyare cilmi from qatar. The professor samar was motivated by his age, he is abit old and couldn't wait for 2016.
