Since we finally have a recognised somalia government in place, do you think we will start reclaiming back our occupied western Somali region territory or will we approach in a different way like supporting a rebel movement like ONLF AND SUCH for independence.

I have family in the Somali-inhabited areas of Ethiopia, is that what you are referring to? More than one tribe lives there you know?

I will say if we get 15 years of Peace! without any wars in between! Ogadenia will be liberated 100%..

we do not care if the ethiopian population is like 100mio in that time! we all know them, they can not fight! 500.000 somali soldiers are enough to take ethiopia iyo kenya

My dear brother I know that more than 1 tribe lives there, but all in all regardless of which qabiil lives there we should be fighting for our independence in the name of all Somali's !!!

I am not a brother. lol. After examining the history of other people I have realized that breaking away doesn't always improve your condition. How can we be certain that we will benefit as a whole if this occurs. Then again, no one can predict the future.

Internationally its known as ogaden because it didn't become a country yet like the ex ciisa(djbouti) majertenia,... The khawajat were using these clan names back then when they arrived...

Since we become a country there were no more of these clan names

At siyaad barre time it wasn't allowed to use tribal names including the baajuuni islands... So, officially, they were known as somali galbeed so locally this is its official name.

Haile salaase was using the ogaden name to stop the somali influence on that region... lastly some of the WSLF(westren somalia liberation front) have founded their ONLF in the late 80s wich was independent both from somalia and ethiopia, they want an independent ogaden without joining somalia...or may re-think this position after the liberation and that is the reason why the other smaller tribes are againist them or not interesting in the liberation any more for fear of being targeted in the future by a clan-state regime.

But yeah we still should support the somali struggle againist ethiopia.

Let Hawiye and Marexan liberate Ogadenia they have warriors who can do the job well.As for Absame they are busy liberating Jubbaland.
