A Lesson From Sheikh Mohammad Al Arifi's Arrest:

I start off by asking Allah subhanu Watala to hasten the release of my brother Sheikh Mohammad Al Arifi.

*It is most likely that Sheikh Mohammad Al Arifi is being detained by the Saudi government for questioning. Both his brother and son stopped short of saying he was detained but implied something to indicate that.
He was banned from travel shortly before the rumor of his arrest.

*Sheikh Al Arifi is a adamant supporter of Al Soud in general. More specifically, he constantly and openly hails (his friend) Prince Mohammed bin Nayef the interior minister with support and praises. {refer to his tweets}

Mohammed bin Nayef and his father before him were the ones who apprehended and tortured the truthful Ulama and some of the greatest brothers "and" sisters in the lands of the Haramain.

When our sisters in Buriaydah were apprehended several months ago. Shaykh Al Arifi ((refused)) to tweet a single word or do anything in their support.
I testify to that first hand!

When the buses came to apprehend our sisters with batons they were literally shouting for the Shyookh and Ulama. Their only request was to release their men or put them on trial!

At that exact moment Shaykh Al Arifi was tweeting about his large cell phone bill.
{I mentioned this about him in a previous lecture}

A Muslim never rejoices to the hardships of his brothers.
He helps them to their release then if he wishes he argues the differences once they are at peace with their families, unlike what the murjiaa rejects and modernists do.

Ibn Hazem said there isn't two people who can dispute the fact that the prophet sallah allahu alieh wasalam did not have prison.

*It's also amazing to see how Muslims neglect their prisoners.
One would have expected a twitter uprising to a man who has over 5 million followers. The Shaykh with the most followers on twitter.

As a brother nicely put it, "Where are those followers? If you take a sheep from a herd of sheep they begin to say baah-baaah?!"

A recent small time (youtube) comedian was arrested for not paying the subway toll. His hashtag was trending faster than that of Shaykh Al Araifis.

*This is a lesson that if one does not stand up for those oppressed it may be only a matter of time before it becomes his turn to join them.
If this is not a lesson what is?!

My father had a historic collection of tapes I used to listen to when I was young by a eloquent beacon of truth, Shaykh Abdurahman Aldowsary (Rahimahu Allah) who died in 1979.
He said, "Those of the Shyookh who befriend and support the tyrant rulers.... they are like toilet paper, once those rulers wipe with them they throw them out".

Even though Sheikh Mohammad Al Arifi refused to support many of our prisoners, he is our brother worthy of our support while in prison.
I ask Allah subhanu watala to hasten his release.
I ask Allah subhanu watala that he comes out pure of his sins and pure of his support and advertising for the tyrants and oppressors.
