power struggle in south sudan

Post by sahal80 »

Salva kiir has fired his deputy and the cabinet

There is a power struggle in the ruling jabhad SPLM and his deputy is a powerful man in the party and already started planning for a possible succession in 2015 elections

He also dismissed the cabinet and suspended the oil negoitiations with khartoum

Looks like south sudanese are not yet ready to be an indipendent state, there is a deep clan confrontations and the secession was a northern initiative in order to keep the sharia rule. Has nothing as the wealth was concentrated in the north.

Tanzania is helping them to set up its tax collection agency after two years of winning independence

Nevertheless, they can have better life on their own

Djbouti is the size of banaadir, they don't have resources unlike of south sudan but a good diplomacy and trade with the world

I heard before the president omar gheele there was no university and would send their students into abroad universities also established its army in his era and that they had only police before him with a westren protection and today besides france there is an american base with 2000 soldiers

I mean some times the small state can be a source of economical and political problems and needs its mother state.

You have totally gone crazy. What has this got to do with you.

I'm talking about a political situation that exisits in many countries. Do you know south sudanese wanted always to be part of sudan? And that they still have their unity conditions within a new sudan? Don't be ignorent study the cultures before you comment on what you don't understand.

I have seen many south sudanese politicians saying this in the arabic speaking tvs and I know that south sudanese in khartoum want to have their rights and stay part of sudan bc the south is not save and there is no army to protect them. You don't know south sudan, they displace eachother in an on going clan wars.

7 reasons to know about south sudan crisis

When I was in Juba in the run-up to South Sudan’s independence I remember the pessimists warning that the country couldn’t survive on its own.  It would be like Somalia.  Nobody wanted to be like Somalia.

That is what I was talking about

And my djiboutian example was an economical example of the state, djibouti depands on other states and on the free markets.

The only country who has majority middle class is china.
