Bosnian Serbs are langaab

Referendum in 2014 will fetch only 30% "Yes" vote in Scotland

Catalonia can't separate from Spain due to constitutional issues despite an upcoming referendum

Quebec is not seeking independence, and its secessionists are in the minority with support falling every year. Past referendums didn't pass

Somaliland will end up back in the union after Silanyo strikes an agreement. Even though its unlikely they'll ever get it, their chances are much better than the above 4

My verdict: None of them will be countries by 2025.

If I was Silanyo and I was leading Somaliland, I would pay more attention to other regions in the same status quo such as the other four named above. I would call for unrecognized regions to form their own United Unrecognized Nations (UUN) and increase that list by funding other autonomous regions and exploit faulty lines.

Imagine the UUN and its first members are:

1) Somaliland
2) Kurdistan
3) Kashmir
4) Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
5) Western Sahara
6) Palestine

And all the other states out there seeking to break away including Catalan.

The idea is to recognize each others diplomatic missions, currencies, embassies and start conducting an open free trade.

But Somaliland doesn't think outside 1988 and some boring British camping events some 18th century. All that BS is irrelevant in this world.

hawdian Somaliland exist de facto but has no dejure recognition,
some of thjese countries in your list do not exist on the ground, they are internet states like makhir or awdalland etc etc.

only kurdistan, transnistria, nagarno kharabakh, south ossetia, abkhazia and northern cyprus are existing states that control their territory are able to defend themselves.

the rest do not exist.

apart from kurdistan* (who by the way is semi autonomous not independent from iraq) the rest of them are dependent on a foreign power i.e. n. cyprus needs turkey while the rest needs russia

*if kurdistan was to ever break from iraq then there will an almighty war involving turkey, iraq and iraq
