Honour Killing
Honour killing is just an excuse in the name of religion for stupid weak men to commit murder.
Another senseless tradition created in "the name of Allah".
Indeed have to criminalize honour killings and convince people that it is a sick and senseless thing to do.
And yeah, honour killing is just plain old murder..except that most do it in the name of God.

Do you believe that honour killings have Islamic roots? Most of your posts are about the "inequality"(if you will) of muslim women in "Islamic" countries, but do you honestly believe that Islam is the reason why these women are treated the way they are? I think the concept of honour killing is a cultural one, muslims blend there religious beliefs with their cultural ones(ie.FGM in Somalia,Honour killings in Pakistan)..But that doesn't necessarily mean that these acts are Islamic. I'd like to hear your take on this

No,i dont believe that honour killings has anything to do with Islam whatsoever. But what's distrubing is these guys are using the name of Allah to kill innocent victims.
Also, as far as I can tell, honour killing predates Islam. Yet why is it still practiced in Muslim countries?
There is no actual verse in the Qu'ran that supports Honour Killings (isn't it amazing how bastards somehow use religion to justify their misogyny
?).

To kill a human is like to kill a whole nation (Qaal Allah in the quran Al karem), and by committing something xaram if you die in that state you die in a state of Kuffr === > yacni this has nothing to do with islam even if its practiced by some ignorant ppl === > Do not mix Islam with some sorry creatures actions.

Somalisizz,
That is NOT what the quran actually says. Get the verse and I'll show why.

Ok, lets look at what this surrah ACTUALLY says. I won't delve into the subject of who authored these wise words. As you may know, they are from the Genesis 2, by a jewish priest.
When I said the aya doesn't actually say what you claimed, I wanted to point the loophole contained in the aya that most ppl overlook. Re-read the aya upto where it says..."or corruption on earth", what is 'corruption on earth?"
It could mean anything a muslim wants it to be since it is not defined. From voting for G. Bush, to writing against Islam on S'net to Apostasy. There is not a SINGLE (to the best of my knowledge) unconditional verse banning killing in the Quran. You won't find one in the Bibble either. Every aya that bans killing has condition attached. This creates a loophole that muslims can exploit to commit all sorts of attrocities in the name of Allah.
