He cut a deal with the central government to name the jubaland administration and in turn they will pick him and fartaag to remain in their position and the government would finish naming the jubaland administration.


All this could have been achieve from the beginning but Ahmed madoowe realize Gandhi and Kenya doesn't have any say or influence in somali politics and they will soon disappear. So he chose wisely.

I would rather say works with mogadisho than for mogadisho, he did this because he lost the diplomatic wars and fears that the future may get worse with each clash with the govt.

The reason he works with the govt now is because kenya will be removed soon from kismayo or atleast the port and airport...thus, he wants to be the group that works with the govt.

Shaykh madoobe has still one card wich is the kenyan political support and that is all about a compromise

The agreement is not yet signed and the govt side still insists cabdi bare shire as vice president wich has diplomatic support in order to stop the war if this was reached the interim administration will be two wings and more closer to the govt besides appointing the army commanders.
