It doesn't bother me. I can know who's who from their writing signature/style and use of emoticoms.

It really was a bad idea to let that happen in the first place. If people didn't like their nicks they should have made new ones. Now you're chatting with someone who you think is a new member and they start talking about previous chats they had with you and stuff and you go

and then either they tell you their ex name or another member will, so what's the point of complicating things in the first place?
