Ok so I haven't been coming on here like I used to. I am taken aback by Somalis mostly females who pander this Somalis are "African American" or "Black" nonsense.... We are "SOMALI" before anything else our color is a given & not something we identify our self with as a people. Usually people who are without a nation or tribe resort to those kind of general "Identifications" as a last resort!!! I understand there are "Some" Somali's both men & women who are in relationships with African Americans...I have a hunch some of them have a vested interest to push this regressive idea on us....Since any offspring's they have with African Americans will lose their Somali Identity. So is the wider Somali community supposed to give up its Somali identity because a few want to mold us to their "Agendas" maybe you should've thought about that before marrying out???? I am Somali that has black skin <--adjective. I am not merely a Color. Africans have also called them self's by their ethnicity & tribes & even nationalities but we have never downgraded our human essences to a mere color!!! So can those who are pandering this garbage please tell us whats the fixation & agenda???

Somalis lived in so-called americas before natives crossed over from asia. The olmecs of mexico or colmecs in somalia settled.in the americas. Hawaii was populated by hawiye and the bahcaasho or the aztecs originate from majeertenia.

African Americans gave the ummah the likes of Muhammad Ali Clay, Malcolm X and many other fine Muslims.

I am glad Somalis have higher moral standards then these former slaves who some on this site are trying to claim we are the same as! African American ceeb must be turning some of the women against their own heritage...Even a few of the guys seem to have stooped to that filthy level as well

Well, I've read it and it just sounds like a rant about how you are more than a colour. You havent really specified what agenda you're after.
Clearly not self explanatory. Not explanatory at all actually, unless you just wanted to rant about black americans; at which point you have done it successfully

If you live in America you are considered Black whether you like it or not.
If you are stopped by the police you will realize that your opinion of what you are means jack shit, you will realize you are just another nigger to them but with a funny name; don't you forget it either.

i looked my mirror one more time,just before i click reply. confirmed , i am black and obviously, a somali. but again im not some one identify myself with colour of my skin or nationality.


but yeah my skin colour is black and others rightfully see me as black man/african descent.

lol that is what im black, doesnt matter who sees me such or not. im from africa, i mean african descent.

in arabia, people dont go by nationality or skin in general. first question some one ask you if they want to ask you who you are they ask; وشو اصلك يالاخ؟
they go your origin, even if you have Nigerian look and your father is tribe x , you are Al3azamy, almari, al7amad etc. it's no secrete their upper class used to bred with their slaves.
