I haven't read it. I just read this 11 page summary on the link.

Isn't she the one who falsely claimed she was raped? I wouldn't read her lies.

Falsly? Isn't that what Shabaab said about Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow.

Arabman do u have prove she wasn't raped or do u believe theyre above that? A woman in captivity surrounded by armed young man over a year, I am pretty sure her story checks out.

why is it far fetched?Re: 460 Days in Captivity in Somalia
The story circulating back then wasn't only about rape, but as well as being pregnant. After she was released, they admitted she was neither raped nor pregnant. Perhaps you and fah forgot it. I'm sure in her memoirs/autobiography, there's no mention of either.Advo wrote:Arabman do u have prove she wasn't raped or do u believe theyre above that? During the hottest hours of the day, the boys dozed in the shade of the veranda outside, while one of them stayed awake for guard duty. Usually in the afternoons, it was Abdullah on patrol. He often opened my door without warning. He didn’t say anything, clutching his gun, keeping his gaze on me for several full minutes without moving. Sometimes, he searched my room, noisily rooting through my belongings, throwing things against the wall. I realized later that he was just testing the waters — seeing what he could get away with as the others slept outside.
One day he showed up and closed the door behind him. He leaned his gun against the wall. I knew right away what was happening. It didn’t matter that I had worried about this. It didn’t matter that I tried desperately to fight him off as he forced himself on me. In less than three minutes it was over, three impossibly long minutes.
I felt as if I had been evicted from my body, as if I no longer fit in my own skin. My mind ticked through every mistake I ever made. Why had I come to Somalia? What had I done? Every fear I ever had came back to me — darkness was scary, noises were scary. I felt like a child. I hated facing the uncertainty of every afternoon, not knowing whether Abdullah was coming or not.

arabman is very offensive and insensitive of you, to dismiss some one's rape and call them a liar without evidence!
i read until the page she is talking about her rape and couldnt continue after..

If she lied about pregnancy, then she lied about rape. Also, there's no mention of rape/pregnancy on Wikipedia:hyperactive wrote:arabman is very offensive and insensitive of you, to dismiss some one's rape and call them a liar without evidence!

Besides, she doesn't have to be pregnant after a rape.
