Yeah, I prefer the first picture too. I don't know why people like skyscrapers, I find them unattractive.

Historic cities shouldn't be touched at all.

Planned cities or industrial cities need dem scrapers cuh. 8-)

high rises are mainly built since land is scare inside major cities and also to house large populations, but we have endless supply of land so low rises are ideal for us, they're also easy to maintain. But there should be a few in the city centre.
