Snet members and law experts your 2 cents desperately needed
Please mediate this issue!
Two brothers are roommates!
One brother bought a Mac laptop from Arab gas station. He brings it to the house. It's been six months. The the other brother who we will call "cagaBasto" was in desperate Ned for money. CagaBasto took his brother's laptop and pawn it, unbeknownst to the other brother.
Then CagaBasto goes back to the pawn shop to retrieve the laptop. To his shock and awe the pawn told him that this laptop was stolen and they pass it on to the Shariff.
Then CagaVasto gets a call from a detective and his abt to he questioned or maybe it's a trap to be arrested.
Law experts, I ask you , what can b done.
Help the brother out with law knowledge bc I tried to help him too but I'm confused. Isn't there a law where the law enforcement will not listen to for having a stolen items in your position?

He can just say he bought the laptop from the local cornerstore, He wasn't aware it was stolen in the first place. I don't see what's the big deal
besides crimes like this happens all the time, crackheads always selling stolen mechandises at local markets.

Here is what he should say and remember keep it short and answer with something you can remember, as the detective will surely be writing done everything and will surely be back for another day.
DTV (Detective): Afternoon Farah Geele. Thanks for coming to the station and been on time (Somalis are never on time)
Mr. G (Geele): You wellcome.
DTV: Please take a sit.
Mr. G: Thanks
DTV: So, Mr. G, where did you get this laptop and can you please give me some detail of how you obtain this michines?
Mr. G: Oh Well. You see, on Aug, 17, 2013, I was coming from my house for a little ride, when I saw a man standing on the corner of Sac Ciyayo St. and Lax baqtiday Ave who was holding a laptop. Based on my observation, I knew the man was selling the machine, so I pull over and call the man to my car while I was still sitting in the car. I asked him how much he wanted for and we agreed $50 will do. Few months passed, I needed money, so I took the laptop to pawnshop and that is the story.
DTV will try to ask more questions, but tell him that is all you know and can tell about the laptop.

In that case, just point the finger to the store and the case ends there.

If something is stolen, it doesn't matter how much you paid for it, it belongs to the original owner.MenaceToSociety wrote:I didn't comprehend what you saying..look PO..can these brothers contest the ownership of this laptop?Perfect_Order wrote:Me thought it was stolen when he said arab, me knew for sure when said gas station smh

He stole a stolen laptop and pawned it.
f-king morons. Nothing might happen to him if he leads the police to where he bought the laptop but in any event, he will lose the laptop as it will be returned to its original owner. In short, don't buy doggy expensive goods.
