Slavery still happens in Somalia to this day.

Post by BuuloXubeey »

During my two years of living in Mogadishu. I have realised slavery is still alive and occurs in Somalia. Particularly Mogadishu and surrounding areas. The Bantu ethnic group of Somalia still deal with harsh treatment to the extent that they are being treated as slaves. Nearly all laborers are Bantu, they receive the most little wage ever and some don't even get paid. All the cleaners in the hotels are Bantus and nearly all ethnic Somali that live in Mogadishu have a Bantu maid, some even have them through force!

Another thing, the AID organisations are systematically discriminating the Bantus. Do you know why people keep asking why they always see Bantus in Mogadishu on TV? Because they are ones suffering. A ethnic Somali IDP gets more help and is less likely raped than a Bantu. Funny is that many of the Ethnic Somali IDP's are returning to their home. Specially the large D&M IDP's. While I was speaking to a old Irish friend on the phone, he said to me. How come when I look at the news I see different type of Somalis to the ones I see in the UK. He ain't the first person to think this way. Yes, the Bantu population in Somalia has risen. But not to an extent to believe they are very large, cause really they are not.

Bantu's are like the gypsie in Somalia. They are widely seen because they are poor and treated like dirt. They are in the street every day to get their daily food. I honestly believe that all ethnic Somalis inside Somalia are living in average condition and are not suffering that much. They all have their livestock or other relatives to rely on.

Well I have racial preference. I only would marry a Somali, Berber and Arab only. Not into Asians, Whites, Bantus, Black Africans. Just my preference. And sorry about Oromo thread, I did not intend to Insult the great Oromo ethnic group. They are great people.

But I will love too support Bantus in other aspects. Like give them more opportunities etc.

Not suprised. Even small ethnic Somali tribes are bullied and some ethnic Somali tribes outcasted. Take Cali Samatr He is as ethnic Somali as they come but His tribe is called names. Somalia's a dog eat dog world, so I'm not surpised at their treatment.

Learn the difference between Slavery and Racism.

Yes, Racism occurs throughout the world. But Slavery does not. The nearest Slavery act in the world occurs mostly in South Asia and East Asia, particularly child laborer. Which is an act of Slavery. It also occurs in some African countries. But that sort of 'slavery' is child exploitation and has little do with slavery in terms of race.

As a Muslim country we should give a shit. We should not treat others like this. Slavery must be abolished in Somalia.

You might have the IQ of a pebble but don't make the assumption that others do as well!! I know you're not teaching me the difference between racism & slavery??? :? ...Slavery:The state of one bound in servitude as the property of a slaveholder or household Commonly known as "Domestic workers" in the 3 world countries especially in Arab states! There are people held in bondage in developed countries as well who are held as workers or sex slaves!! Please deflate some of the air from your skull & come to terms with reality! Speaking of "Muslim" countries the "Arab Slave Trade" was the most brutal in human history!! There are millions of people who would be defined as "Slaves" in Muslim countries in the gulf one of the worst being the whore of all whores the "Saudi Kingdom"!! ;) ;)

Maybe they should think about going back to their ancestral homeland then? No offence but somalis in general are a racist people and it'll stay that way, it's just the way we are. A significant percentage of The Arabs from Yemen originally have gone back to their homeland maybe it's time Bantus do the same. It's true though, I almost never see poor somalis on tv apart from jareers and Sometimes raxanwaynes. I was just watching this (this was just posted on somaliaonline) and You can notice the same trend:

So Somalia, like the USA, is split into free and industrious northerners and lazy plantation-owning southerners. :wow:
