I do believe natural calamaties are caused by God's wrath--sounds primitive thinking but these are beleifs we base on our faith and to purify ourselves from the forbidden activities.

Tsunami , like other seismic tremors are caused by the convergance of metamorphism like when igneous rocks clash while creating magma before reaching the core of the earth. These are the raging activities of the earth we live on , but God is behind them. We only learn the marvels of his creations and how they came to being.
