How does one stay motiviated to continue doing the course work, I'm used to doing face2face classes, this is the first semester I signed up for one, and I regret it, Its lifeless, I'm starting to second guess myself a whole lot. Is this normal behavior or a bad anxiety attack

It's against the normal psyche of learning. Never took one nor plan to do so.

been there .done that. Does not work for me. I only did it in the past so I could manage full time work with school. I discussed it with others and found that a lot of people struggle with with online courses. My struggle was following the online instructions correctly and procrastinating with projects.

Procrastinating thy name is Online course. Never take it if you can avoid it, the cons out way the benefits. I almost never do good in them.

If I had the option, I wouldn't have done it, I was told I'd do well in the course, But doesn't look that easy, the only good thing that came out of this course now, is that I can email my instructor she'll get back to me quicker than taking a regular class.

I think it's pretty normal. You might benefit from sticking to a schedule. For example, from 11 am to 2 pm, you can spend time going over the lectures/lessons and study. From 4 pm to 7 pm, you can work on assignments or do extra studying with breaks every 40 minutes or so, of course. I think that most of us are used to and comfortable with a schedule when it comes to studying or schoolwork as we usually have spend 14 years or so in schools that had a certain schedule. So hopefully, that might help.

That and also getting on snet to relinquish my boredom (doing homework while on snet is a disaster waiting to happen). had it been a subject that sparks my interest, I would've probably liked it more. Environmental Science is not my choice of class, but I needed a science course with a lab, it was either that or Earth Science, I ended up with the lesser boring course

Try doing a professional Master’s degree online, mind you from a reputable university known for tech and innovation. Should have just chosen a thesis option, but I didn't want to pay for living expenses and uproot myself to no-man’s land. The former is more economical and you avoid the anxiety of a firing squad (thesis defence committee). Thing that sucks is being a teaching assistant online =S. The atmosphere is lonely given the lack of face-time with peers and professors, if you know anyone taking the course try to link up with them (1) to commiserate in your suffering and (2) to provide emotional support. If not drive your family crazy with your hysterical outbursts. Procrastination is a malaise that afflicts us all both online and offline, but it seems easier to waste time online. However, given that deadlines are fixed and penalties for late assignments/evaluations are stiff that is enough motivation to get you moving. These courses are normally short in duration (four months), so it should pass by quickly. Work systematically and incrementally to avoid procrastination, and don't sacrifice your sleep and sanity by working last minute. It’s rudimentary Armaan.

I give you mad props for doing your masters online, I'm not going to lie, at first I didn't like the thought of doing online class but seeing as I get quick responses from my instructor, I'm reconsidering it, I just might do Strayer uni next yr for my masters inshallahi, I don't know anyone in the course, I like studying on my own, my school is trimesters, this course is only 12 weeks, I'm also taking multiple 6 week courses as well.
