So I will need to go to war college?

Don't join. My father used to be in the military before the civil war and I don't think it's the best choice to make, if you have other choices. If you want a cushy job, get a degree and network with powerful people. That will help you get a comfortable job without having to do something unpleasant.

He didn't have to do any real fighting, as it was peaceful before the civil war and he left Somalia a few years before the war. It was a difficult life though since they didn't pay very well and he had to go to military school early in his teens.

oh right, but now it's clan orientated so you can get a position simply to fulfill the clan spots
