The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has expressed its inability to carry out any further advancement against rebel group Al Shabaab which is fighting the Federal Government of Somalia, citing a small number of forces at their disposal and lack of supplies to keep up the operations.
For the last several months AMISOM has not reported any further advancements on the rebel forces strongholds and further into the capital Mogadishu, raising concerns about the progress of the mission in the country.

Any new men and supplies should go to the SNA. Amisom can leave as SNA strength increases.

On corruption you easily dismiss the UN Monitoring Group on Somalia report for a firm retained by Mogadishu's government. No the UN Monitoring Group report needs not to be 100, 90, 80, 70, or even 60 percent correct, at just 20 Somalia has lost and if you feel otherwise you are just as fraud as those who are at opposite end of the spectrum.Grant wrote:Any new men and supplies should go to the SNA. Hassan Shiekh has since replaced central bank chief criticized in U.N. report. Perhaps you can explain the sudden sacking after the government has made its own position clear in a funded response prepared by Shulman Rogers and FTI Consulting on 30th August 2013.
Your dismissal of the UN Monitoring Group only aids corrupt officials and your calls for strengthening the SNA of Hassan Shiekh and cronies, a clan militia under the banner of the Somali National Army will aid in further anarchy in Somalia.

That link is a British report on Italian Somaliland prepared before independence in 1960. You will perhaps recall that the Brits advised Somaliland against union, but I am not sure of the relevance today.MJ360 wrote:On corruption you easily dismiss the UN Monitoring Group on Somalia report for a firm retained by Mogadishu's government. I will begin believing the SEMG reports when they start confirming the allegations they receive, and/or when they begin providing information in a form that can be verified. Did you see this?

Are you aware that neither Abdusalam Omer nor Abdi Aynte were ever interviewed by the SEMG?
