Mohammed Zahran bin Abdullah Alloush (Abu Abdullah) is the agreed upon General of this Army.

Born in 1970 in Damascus, originally from Douma, his father is Sheikh
Abdullah Alloush, Shariah scholar and author of "The Sahih in Answered
Supplication"and "Explanation of Jibreel's Hadith". Husband and father
of ten boys. Prior to the revolution he
was working as a Building contractor. He was imprisoned on three
different occasions for Islamic activities. His most recent arrest was
in 2009. He was released on June/22/2011 under pressure from protesters.
He went on to found "Sarraya Al-Islam Brigades" and then later "The
Islam Brigades", and now commander of the "Army of Islam".
There are two families with Alloush for a surname. One from Aleppo stemming from Beni Tamim, and the other from Ahlul-Bayt.
