Post colonization is still degrading

What makes it so degrading especially when you have countries having their colonial language everywhere to this day when maybe only 10% of the people speak it

Cass in point: Lebanon and the French language in signs and govt buildings. The French language there is before Arabic in regards to documentation

The upper-class speak it and they teach their kids French as well. It is a fad, the poor look up to them and wish to emulate them. Therefore, French is everywhere in the Lebanon.
