Turkey using SL secession drive as a bargaining chip?

Post by saacJabshee »

Is Turkey really a brotherly nation or just using brotherly words to get ahead of the future competition it would almost certainly face? I am under the impression that Turkey is watching its interest such as establishing their presence in Africa and solving their unemployment issue for their many skilled workers. These are just 2 I can think of sitting here. However recently Erdogan met Silanyo where in Turkey they held talks. Am thinking what's really holding Erdogan back from visiting SL? Erdogan likes to go extreme places and make a name for himself. He went Libya after the war and now he is looking to go Gaza. Could it be because the runway at Hargaisa airport is not safe or ready? Whats holding him back is not a runway rather a whole lot of politics. How is Turkey going to sweet talk the Hassan administration and play a huge role in helping them to establish Somalia as a peaceful prosperous country. Only for the Turks to turn around and support a secession drive? However I could see Turkey using SL secession drive as a bargaining chip in the near future. When richer nations like USA, UK, Germany, China, Brazil etc start rushing for lucrative contracts in Somalia. Turkey could then prop up this secession drive and use it to threaten Hassans administration (or whoever is leader at the time) into accepting their demands for contracts. This is democratic politics end of the day. No one is your brother or there are no brotherly nations. Its all interest. I think everyone one of us know that all current Somali leaders regardless of their clan are just simple minded and easy to manipulate into disagreeing with their other Somali counter parts.

So if a Turk gives you a smile it means forever loyalty? hassan should be firm and say you cant grant Silanyo visits and meetings with the president. Set the tone early on. Otherwise he wont recover.

You come across as angry and mad because Turkey choose to help Mogadishu the capital of Somalia rather than the triangle state.

Behinds Silanyo is just a homeless wandering NOBODY, so wants the harm?

Even Great Britain is with Mogadishu. :stylin:

But when Somali gov starts to negotiate with other countries are you telling me it will be textbook nice and clean? no you know full well the amount of dirt, corruption and money unlawfullly exchanging hands that goes on. However if this fails the westerners have no choice but to start a smear campaign whereas Turkey would simply just back SL claims to self determination. These guys could potentially be thinking like this as of now. That's my analysis. Look Buulo saxiib all politicians lie. They lie about everything. They will all be there till it makes sense for them and not for you.
