SOMALIA: SHOULD FOLLOW SOMALILAND FOOTSTEPS

THIS IS WHAT AN GUY WROTE IN SOMALIWEYN LIKE I SAID MANY SOUTHERNS ARE GIVING IT UP AND CELEBRAING FOR SOMALILAND KUDDOS TO THESE SOUTERNS WHO WANT PEACE

The only solution to Somalia's prolonged conflict is simply to follow it's sister's , Somaliland, foot step , reconciliation and compromise. Even thought the Mbaghati , Kenya , made Government was based on reconciliation and compromise among the Warlords of Somalia, and in addition the Warlords hand picked their favorites or cronies for parliament positions or members , to full fill their personal interest, to be elected president or for higher position , since the Parliament Members were the ones who were electing the government leaders.

The two opposing Parliament Members of Mogadisho and Jawhar , would have been on one side today and would have held the so-called Mbaghati Government in control and abide by The Law , if they weren't selected by the Warlords and had been elected by their constituencies . Unfortunately since the Parliament Members of Somalia were chosen by the Warlords, they have no choice but to serve their Masters, Warlords.

Of course there are good and sincere Parliament Members of Somalia , who use their judgement and think of the interest of the people that they represent, like the ones who opposed the participation of Somalia's neighbors, to be included in Somalia's disarmament. In fact excluding Ethiopia , Djibouti and Kenya in disarming the Somali militia is in the interest of all three countries and a boost to the Somali reconciliation , since all three countries except Kenya have sided with a particular group or Warlord in the past 15 years of chaos in Somalia. It's also good diplomacy and securing future relationship for those three countries to show that they are neutral to the conflict of Somalia's Warlords and feuding Somali Clans and Sub-clans.

What Somalia needs today or the only way to overcome the prolonged conflict in Somalia is to dissolve the so-called Mbaghati made Government , and begin the reconciliation from grass root or from local , from Sub-clan to Clan , from Clan to clan and from region to National, which we could was the bases of Somaliland reconciliation.

The people of Somalia doesn't need a government made in Egypt, Djibouti , Kenya or Ethiopia , they need a government elected in Kismayo, Baidabo , Mgoadisho or Bosaso, just like the Somaliland Government was elected in Buro , Borama and Hargiesa, after the Somaliland elderly lead the way and chose what was the interest of the people they represented.

Beginning the reconciliation and the compromise from Grass Root or local, could lead to a national unity, democracy and the election of good leaders by the people and for the people.
