I see alot of naive comments on this thread. The famous Marehan Road aka Wadada Mareexaan always existed in Mogadishu before Maxamed Siyaad Barre. The road that was named after Marehan was due to the Idle brother's. They are Celi Marehan and one of the famous wealthy businessmen in Mogadishu before Independence. They currently have big business in Tanzania and Mogadishu. They had many shops and offices in that road and all the Marehan people from Gedo, Jubooyinka and Galgaduud used to visit that road when they come to Xamar.

The only 2 roads that has Marehan link to it are:

Wadada Jaale Siyaad
and Isgoyska Fagax Kooshin

Other areas that has Marehan links are:
Xerada Jaale Siyaad
Xerada Maslax

Just wanted to educate the dumb Somalis that try their best to pretend to know things.

Also want to correct that Bantu Xiinoow, trying to say that Wadada Adaan Cadde was erased and replaced by wadada Marehan. Wadada Adaan Cadde and Wadada Mareexaan are not even in the same area. Dumb fucker

Wadada Marehan is a very famous road in Mogadishu. A wealthy road and a noble road named after a noble clan. :stylin:
He ran over to the wall across Marehan Road, closer, and shot him
Wilkinson was standing on Marehan Road, a narrow thoroughfare in a warren of stone walls and buildings near the Bakaara Market
Ground forces have occupied several buildings along Marehan Road

Regardless of who named it or when, it should be changed as it is an inappropriate and offensive to most Somalis due to the events that marehan darood leadership brought upon the nation and hawiye who own the city

Your the worst person to speak to in this forum. Your indho adeeg trying to act like you know everything about Somalia and it's clan and its history. And now your trying to act like you know me. For one my grandmother is a Reer Xamar from the shaaanshi clan and I mentioned this in this forum many times. Xamar was also a city were many Marehan folks were born in and have deep links with it since we Marehan are southerners! Idiot

That road is the only Road named after a clan. Also nothing wrong with it since there is a historic reason behind the name of the Road. I don't understand why Somalis are whining about a name of a road. Is that how envious they are from Marehan? It's not our fault if were are a noble clan with deep influence with the history of Somalis since Amir Nuur and since the struggle of independence and all the way into nation building.

Not only is Marehan Road official for Non-Somalis but also Somalis themselves.
Taliyaha ayaa waxaa lagu dilay Wadada Jid Mareexaan oo si toos ah u gasha Suuqa Bakaaraha, taasoo hormarta Shirkadda Xawaalada Global ee Magaalada Muqdisho.

Rag bistoolado ku hubeysan ayaa waxaa lagu soo waramayaa inay ku dhufteen dhawr xabadood, oo ugu dambeen sababtay in uu ku geeriyoodo Wadada Jid Mareexaan, xilli uu marxuumka uu maraayay.

You don't abtirsi from your grandmothers side. You are who your father is. So Rahanweynes are southerners too but don't cling on to Xamar

Go back to your land saxiib. Xamar belongs to Hawiye. Its best for your own safety. USC veterans might target you
