What is the difference between persistence and thirst?

:russ: at that picture.

Why are people throwing around the word 'thirsty' more than it needs to be said? It's not that serious. :Puhlease:

I've always thought thirst meant going after someone when the interest isn't being reciprocated. If both people are interested, then it's persistence. What girl doesn't like getting chased?

Persistence: Attempting to achieve something all the while your pride is still intact.

Thirsty: Just plain attention whore with no shred of dignity.

Don't you think people can be flirty without assuming anything will come out of it? I don't see anything wrong with being friendly and flirty. I'd rather be fun and approachable than aloof and uppity.

There is really no need for guilty conscience and being defensive, you asked the difference between persistence and thirst, and I just answered it, nothing more.
