why cant these women stop putting their private parts all over peoples faces
It's just mutilation': Extraordinary moment anti-female circumcision campaigner asked shoppers to sign fake petition supporting procedure... and most of them AGREED
Leyla Hussein, 32, left in tears after people signed pro-FGM petition
The anti-FGM campaigner was cut at the age of seven in Somalia
Hussein says political correctness means people are scared to speak out
Spoof FGM petition part of C4 documentary exploring the practice
A female genital mutilation (FGM) campaigner was left in tears after an experiment intended to assess the impact of political correctness on the fight against cutting saw 19 people sign a fake pro-FGM petition within 30 minutes.
Leyla Hussein, 32, who suffered female genital mutilation as a child, approached shoppers in Northampton with the petition, which argued that as FGM was part of her culture, it should be protected.
During the 30-minute experiment, 19 people signed the petition and just one refused - a result Hussein blamed on the all-pervading culture of political correctness.

It's pointless to stand in front a bunch of cadaan people and talk about cultural practices that should have long been stopped. Best to directly take the issue up with the Somali community, in particular Somali women and address it internally.
But then again, the question is, will such women who raise concerns about FGM be given the space and the opportunity to address the issue within our communities? It's easier to stand in front what appears like a sympathetic cadaans who love hearing about some 3rd world woman talking about how shitty her life is.

I don't think that's practical. A fatwa outlawing FGM by religious and tribal leaders is the way to go.

A shitty little feminist looking to make a name for herself.
I don't support this practice, but does she really have to air the dirty laundry
of our people in a foreign country.
If she is so emotional about this subject, book a plane ticket, go to Somalia
and campaign there.

She's not the only one airing our dirty laundry for all to see. e.g. other Somalis demonstrating in huge numbers in Western countries complaining to and begging the white man to rescue them from other Somalis, demonstrating against Qat {when they could go down the petition route} Really when you think about it, what this woman is doing is no different. She also wants the Brits help ....in rescuing little girls from the big bad Somali habro with the big kitchen knives.

The thing is ...it's already on the decline as many culimo have already condemned gudniinka fircooniga.
These Bastards talking about their private parts want money ...probably to start a "charity" or an "outreach centre"
for affected girls.
All comes down to money

Nobody in this thread suggested she is the only one airing dirty laundry.

^^ You hit it on the hammer.
This women has little shame. I'm pretty sure shes doing this for a large income stream she'll probably generate from all this media coverage etc etc. Typical also her face annoys me.

The facepalm is for the fact that there's going to be a documentary on Channel 4
on FGM ....I don't need to click on it to know what will be contained in it.
More airing of dirty laundry ...the article was enough but a TV documentary?
