14-year-old boy murders a 5-year-old

i dont think the 14 year old boy is mentally sane. Why didn't they carry out some mental assessment to rule out whether or not he is crazy?.
Having said that, 23yrs is nothing i feel like he deserved the maximum sentence. Wtf just coz you are 13 and irritated with a 5yr old doesn't justify to hit him in the head with baseball bat. Iska dhici nooh get a belt and whoop him

this is what happens when parents take parenting lightly. If you can't discpline your kids, life will discpline them (they either gonna be killed like what we see in alberta canada or sent to prison )

The most disturbing part was that he took the little boy to an abandoned house and hid the weapons he used to bash the child's head in. That indicates that he had planned on killing him. My guess is that he was severely abused or witnessed severe abuse at home since children who commit these sort of crimes often are abused.

You are right, he mostly definitely suffered abuse either at school, or at home.
