Was at a 6th grade basketball game today..

Both teams only had 4 players.

So they asked the crowd if 2 adults wanted to play to make it 5 on 5

I threw my jacket off and ran down the bleachers. Then some white guy volunteered to play for the opposing team.

I honestly went in there with the intent to not shoot and just set the kids up to score. But them nikkaz was down 23-4 after the first 10 minutes in the first half. After that, I just started isolating and takin kids to the hoop. I scored 32 pts by the midway point of the 2nd half. I was in that zone the greats talk about. I would hear parents in the crowd yelling "PASS THE DAMN BALL "

I paid that shyt no mind though. And on the last possession of the game one of the kids on my team had a chance to take the ball to the hoop for an easy layup, but I caught up with him at the free throw line, stopped him like


pointed at the scoreboard and told him to just dribble it out

We ended up winnin the game 97-59.

I doubt I even go to anymore games if I have to sit in the crowd with them angry ass parents.

I know I was wrong, but when I stepped on that court and saw them lights, I had to get my shyt off. I was cut from my high school team and I never really got over that.

You know what I did? Tried out in 7th grade and made the B team. I unleashed my anger when I got to play for the first and only time. Scored 8 points against Glashan Public School and we won.

but what you did was a bit drastic and a bit too late. If anything, that win shouldnt count since u faced kids half ur age

But i understand and approve. Not making the team can take a toll on you psychologically. We all need closure. I'm glad you finally got it

Somali kids have a uphill battle when it comes to competing in athetics in HS and inparticular basketball. Friggin White kids or American kids had all this parental support, people to pick them up from the school gym not just on late bus days but everyday. From age 6 they are in county leagues playing orginized sports right up until the time they try out for the HS team. Somali kids like Me would not pick up a basketball during all the winter months and then would play outside and be rusty while these kids would be sharp

Murax, to be honest most Somalis around really competitive. You should see how much they complain on the football pitch if you give them a little tug.
