Re: The Official Write a Book thread
There are some crucial ingredients in order to write a book, i think:
- Having an interesting story to tell, with a compelling underlying message and with an emotive angle to it. You have to capture the interest, heart and mind of the reader. It has to be a believable story, to which your readers can relate in some way, or something unique, different and unusual that evokes interest. It also has to be a salable story. You have to consider who your target market is; it may well be worth conducting some research, market testing and even focus groups. This is a product you are trying to sell after all.
- Conveying that story in a captivating yet structured and logical manner. It important, therefore, to have a sound plan of what the book is about, how you will structure the content and how you can maximise the effectiveness and quality of the manner in which you convey that story. Well written books are no accident and do not come about per chance.
- Lastly; believing and being passionate about your book and your message, as well as dedicating time and resources is important in order to motivate yourself to complete the writing of the book.

Re: The Official Write a Book thread
^that's cute, i have a dairy too although it's online. i'm a bit paranoid that someone in my household would read it.
i get some good ideas sometimes i jot them down or tell them to someone. I just have trouble making it flow eloquently, so i don't bother actually writing a story.

^If you knew what i wrote about you in my diary elmo
I talk about everything. From my latest haircut to that first ever prank i did when i was 8...Diaries are a nice way to avoid keeping everything bottled up and lost in your thoughts..some of your deepest secrets etc also venting out against bad incidences in your life so i consider it self-counselling..
